About Kristina Seftigen

Research interests
My research interests are broadly focused on decadal-to-centennial hydroclimate variability in northern Europe during the past millennium. Besides updating and increasing the moisture sensitive tree-ring network in the region, I am also working on the integration of climate proxy information with General Circulation Models to better understand climate dynamics on timescales that cannot be fully understood from instrumental data alone. The work is done in close collaboration with the Earth and Life Institute, Université catholique de Louvain, Belgium.
